Eastern Shore Quilt Study Group

The Eastern Shore is that part of Delaware (south of the C&D Canal), Maryland and Virginia which form the Delmarva Peninsula between the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic. Until the Bay Bridge was built near Annapolis and the Bay Bridge Tunnel at the southern end it was a world apart. Despite the influx of retirees and vacationers, in some ways it still is.

I decided that the best way to see lots of Eastern Shore Quilts is to start our very own study group.  At last! We're going to be able to look at old quilts on the far side of the bridge! The first meeting of the ESQSG was on February 23,2005 at the St. Michaels Library, 106 Fremont St., St. Michaels, MD. Click here for the minutes of that meeting.

Cinda on the Eastern Shore hoping to come up with a snappier name for the group (it's hard to compete with FVF and The Dating Club)  You are all invited. Email me for directions and more information.
