# Quilt Restoration

If you are interested in doing your own quilt restoration, read our article [Repair, Restore, Conserve; What to do with damaged antique quilts](https://quilthistory.com/repair-restore-or-conserve/) [](https://web.archive.org/web/20201112025532/http://www.quilthistory.com/repair.htm)for some helpful tips.

The following people are professional quilt restorers. No recommendation is implied. Always check references. There is also a free referral service to conservators of all sorts available online: <http://www.aic-faic.org/guide/form.html> Not only can you request specific kinds of conservators but by location as well. There is also storage and conservation information available on line from the National Park Service.

The Quilter’s Guild of Dallas maintains a resource list of members who do all kinds of work relating to quilts. To obtain a copy, send a stamped self-addressed business-size envelope to: Resource Chairman Quilter’s Guild of Dallas 305 Spring Creek Village Suite 508, Box 521 Dallas, Texas 75248
